My rich warming white hot chocolate coupled with the comforting flavour of Biscoff is, in my opinion, THE perfect comfort drink. If you’re a fan of both these things, my Biscoff white hot chocolate is sure to be a hit too!
As you know, my family and I are TOTALLY in love with all things Biscoff, just as many of you are too. From cookies and fudge to brownies and baked doughnuts, you know I can’t seem to get enough of the stuff!
And with it currently being winter AND lockdown here in the UK, I’ve been feeling the need for some additional indulgence in my favourites recently.
How this came to be
I’ll be honest, white hot chocolate was actually a relatively recent discovery for me, only a few years ago now. I actually discovered it through my daughter who, to this day, is not a huge fan of regular hot chocolate.
Everyone assumes all kids love hot chocolate, right? Well, not my kid! As a consequence, my daughter was often without a hot drink, sipping on lukewarm water instead 😬
Naturally, I had to find a way to allow her the pleasure and indulgence of a hot chocolate after a cold winter’s walk or some snow play. One day, had a eureka moment! As an alternative to traditional hot chocolate, I melted down some white chocolate with milk. And coloured it blue, to cater to her Frozen obsession of the time.
And guess what?? She LOVED it! Winner!! 😁
Now we discovered we could do this, we wondered why on earth we hadn’t thought of it sooner! 🤦🏽♀️
Lightbulb moment
Fast forward to last year and a discussion one autumn weekend. My daughter wanted her usual white hot chocolate but I had a hankering for something with Biscoff instead. My girl, now older and clearly wiser, asked, “Why not just put them both together?”
That kid is a Biscoff white hot chocolate genius 😍
Who would have thought just adding a generous spoonful of Biscoff spread would take an already amazing hot drink to the next level?! Thanks to her ingenious idea, we are all now obsessed with this drink: pure comfort in a mug!
You can, if you wish, top it with whipped cream and crumbled Biscoff biscuits for extra indulgence too. Or just enjoy without the added extras.

Biscoff White Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
250 ml (1 cup) milk
40 g (¼ cup) good quality white chocolate
1 tbsp (be generous!) smooth Biscoff spread
1 Biscoff biscuit and whipped cream, for topping (optional)
Directions
- Pour your milk into a pan and gently heat until steaming, stirring occasionally.
- While the milk is warming up, chop up your white chocolate.
- When your milk is gently steaming, tip in your chopped white chocolate and stir to melt.
- Add in your Biscoff spread and whisk until completely dissolved and combined.
- Reheat your hot chocolate until just starting to bubble at the edges, a couple of minutes. Pour into your mug and top with whipped cream and/or crumbled Biscoff biscuit, if desired.
